A Harrisburg law firm has launched a new public relations agency.
McNees Wallace & Nurick has launched Apollo Communications. The agency specializes in building and enhancing brands and reputations, crisis and issue management, media relations and content marketing.
The firm opened on Jan. 11 and serves clients across Pennsylvania, Ohio and Maryland. Apollo Communications is located at 100 Pine St. in Harrisburg at the office of McNees Wallace & Nurick.
“We believe in the combined power of storytelling and strategy,” Brett Marcy, a longtime public relations professional and former journalist, who will serve as president of Apollo Communications, said in a press release. “As brand advocates for our clients, we leverage both disciplines to build, enhance and protect their reputation.”
Marcy has more than two decades of experience in public relations, strategic communications and journalism. He was most recently senior director of public relations and communications for WellSpan Health. He had previously held communications director and press secretary roles at the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. Prior to that, Marcy served as associate vice president at a Philadelphia-based advertising and public relations agency. Marcy was also previously a reporter for several news organizations in Pennsylvania including The Patriot-News.
McNees is based in Harrisburg and has 130 attorneys and has offices in the Harrisburg, Lancaster, York, State College and Scranton areas as well as offices in Ohio, Maryland and Washington D.C. In addition to Apollo Communications, the law firm also owns Capital Associates, a lobbying firm; Helix Strategies, a nonprofit consulting firm and Keystone Municipal Solutions, a company that provides municipalities with interim management and professional consulting services.
