SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — There is truly power in numbers. That is the motto that helped form Mimosa Marketing – a group of hard-working Somerset County small business owners who have come together to help each other succeed amid the pandemic and beyond.
The idea for Mimosa Marketing was launched two years ago by Bound Brook native Pamela Bogart who owns Leave It To Bee, LLC, a full-service entrepreneur consultancy.
Bogart had always known there is more power in numbers and reached out to Jennifer Katzman of Mimosas & Masterpieces to start a conversation about possibly creating a networking business group.
The two invited local business owners out to lunch and about 18 showed up. The idea took off and Mimosa Marketing was formed.
“Most of the 18 people who came to the first meeting are still in the group,” said Bogart. “It started as just an idea for a group of business owners to meet once in a while and now it is a full-fledged business.”
Bogart and Mimosa Marketing’s goal is to get as many professionals to jump on board.
“We strive to grow this group with professionals who really want to be bigger than themselves. If we can help grow your business then it helps our business,” said Bogart.
Mimosa Marketing works as a true community that supports and refers one another to keep everyone successful.
Bridgewater native Amy Jensen is an educator and author of the Chuckie the Chocolate Lab book series for children, who recently joined the group.
“As a new member of Mimosa Marketing, I already feel like a valued part of the team. Everyone is so welcoming and willing to give advice and support. Being a part of this group also offers me a chance to participate in community events to market the Chuckie the Chocolate Lab book series and my author presentations for children,” said Jensen.
The group meets monthly and offers three different membership levels that offer coaching, focus groups, helping with plans for the future and more. Especially during the pandemic when many businesses had to adapt, Bogart said the group has helped to transition businesses to offer more of an online presence.
“We want everyone to see the best version of themself as a business owner,” said Bogart.
For those interested in joining, Mimosa Marketing is hosting a free live Membership Opportunity Zoom meeting on Monday, May 17. Participants can see what the group is all about and hear from a few of the members on how being a part of a like-minded group of professionals has transformed their businesses, and ultimately, their lives.
