B PENNSYLVANIA’S DEPARTMENT O LABOR ACKNOWLEDGED THE PROBLEM TODAY AFTER WE ASKED THEM ABOUT IT. SINCE THEN, THE DEPARTMENT SAYS THE ISSUE HAS BEEN FIXED. IN A STATEMENT TO WGAL, A LABOR DEPARTMENT SPOKESPERSON DID’’ ENIDTIFY EXACTLY WHAT ACTUALLY CAUSED THE PROBLEM OR HOW NYMA PEOPLE WERE AFFECTED. Pennsylvanians using the state’s new unemployment system ran into another issue over the weekend.A technical problem kept many people from filing claims.WGAL News 8 started getting emails on Sunday from users who reported they couldn’t log in.The Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry on Monday acknowledged the problem and said it has since been fixed.In a statement, an L&I spokesperson didn’t identify what actually caused the issue or say how many people were affected. The spokeswoman said someone would get back to us after the observed holiday.The state said the interruption should not delay the payment of claims.
