There is supposed to be some form of a protest today [Feb 5] at the Cabinet Grounds in Hamilton, with a group putting out a message saying “If you are done with masking, show up today at the Cabinet Grounds between 2pm and 6pm.”
As of around 2.30pm today, there were around 15 people there, and some people placed masks on the door of the Cabinet Building.
This follows after the Government announced a major easing of Covid restrictions yesterday, including the SafeKey being eliminated from use in most circumstances, the size of group gatherings increased from 20 to 100, reduced testing when arriving on the island and more, with indoor mask wearing the main policy set to remain in place.
